2016-2019 Upgrade Bike Share Success

The Evansville Trails Coalition’s Upgrade Bike Share Program (utilizing the Zagster Bikeshare System) success from launch in October 2016 to October 2019, exceeded our original goals. Upgrade Bike Share Program members have reached a total of 4,744, and we’re happy to report they have taken over 11,009 bike rides!

Riders experienced Evansville’s trails on a bike! Upgrade Bike Share is Evansville’s bike share—a community asset, utilized for exercise, recreation and for alternative transportation purposes. With 100 bikes available to ride, riders were able to hop on a bike and go! From 2016-2019, the Upgrade Bike Share Program had eleven bike stations, eight within the City of Evansville and Vanderburgh County districts, providing a key recreational and active transportation service to our community. Bike stations were located at the Evansville Convention and Visitors Bureau (Pagoda), the Downtown YMCA, Haynie’s Corner area, Tepe Park, Franklin Street at the West Library, North Main Street area, Deaconess Sports Park, Ivy Tech Community College Bike station located at First Avenue and Colonial. Within Henderson, KY, three Upgrade Bike Share stations were located at the corner of Second and Main Street, at Audubon Kids Zone located at Powell and Letcher Street and a third station along the trails within Atkinson Park.

Upgrade Bike Share Program. Enjoy the ride!

A Great Big Thank You, To our 2016-2019 sponsor partners who made it happen: The City of Evansville, Vanderburgh County, and the City of Henderson, KY!
